34 week ultrasound

Today we had our 34 week appointment. 4 weeks left I just can't believe it. I am being induced at 38 weeks hopefully on May 19th. I have totally started feeling more pregnant in the past week. I am starting to get a lot more frequent braxton hicks and cramping. I know this is all a good thing that my body is preparing for the future task. I don't mean to just be complaining but my back has also really starting hurting a lot. This is all to be expected but sitting at a computer all day does not help. I keep telling myself 4 weeks left!! Tomorrow Bart and I are going to a baby class at St. John's that covers care for the whole first year of a babies life. I am quite sure it will be information overload but I am looking forward to it. They will teach us infant CPR. I will try to get another belly pic up over the next week or so.

This pic is a week late, but I am finally getting 33 week ultrasound pic up. I didn't get a pic of it, but we could actually see her fat rolls this week. So she is growing and gaining weight just fine. She passed her bio physical ultrasound test just fine, but was so active she was forgetting to breath some. She is quite the active baby!!!

Mom and Me

This past weekend we had a great baby shower for baby Lanie. I very much enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Lanie got a lot of good stuff. It was so fun to get all sorts of baby stuff. It made this baby more real to me for sure. Only 6 weeks from today little Lanie will be here.

Big Foot

We had our 32 week appointment yesterday. Lanie was 4 1/2 lbs and in the 62%. She is growing like a weed. She had a hand up my her bottom so we got a good picture of her side profile this time. She was very tired and didn't want to move around a lot so she didn't pass her bio physical test near as fast as last week. I think she was worn out like her mommy from the weekend. We had family up for a baby shower. I greatly enjoyed the weekend, but I was totally exhausted after wards and apparently Lanie was as well. More pics from the shower coming soon.

31 week ultrasound

Foot

Face

Today we had another ultrasound. This will now be a weekly occurrence which is fine by me. We didn't get that great of pictures today. She wouldn't move her hand so we could get a good profile shot. They didn't check her weight and percentile today. I am very curious on the weight though. The ultrasound was a bio physical test which means Lanie has 30 minutes to do certain movements and breathing to pass the test. She passed within the first 10 minutes (she is very active). I was so relieved. When our doctor was listening to the heart beat Lanie had the hiccups. It was so funny cause they were loud. I couldn't help but crack up. 7 weeks from today Lanie will be joining our family. Can't wait!!!!

31 weeks pregnant

Here I am at 31 weeks pregnant. I am glad I took these pics as I am a lot bigger than I thought. My tummy just seems to be growing straight out. Lanie is very active moving around in my tummy. It has been really neat to feel her move from one side to the other. Sometimes my stomach is lopsided due to her laying on one side. Just this past week I have noticed her getting the hiccups which is such a strange yet amazing feeling. A week ago today we attended our childbirth class at the hospital. We learned all about the different stages of labor and medication options. The class was very enlightening. I learned some breathing skills to help cope with labor. I also preadmitted to the hospital this past week. So now all I have to do it show up and I am ready to have this baby hopefully not any time before May 19th. I am starting weekly appointments and ultrasounds with my OB. I love that I get to see Lanie every week now. Just think 7 weeks 3 days Lanie will be here!!!

Winter Wonderland (in March)

Well mark your calendars for March 28, 2009 as the biggest snow storm in March I (and am sure several others) have ever seen. The weather forecast was 2-6 inches of snow for Tulsa which I figured we would get more towards the 2 inch mark. We however have 8-9 inches of snow on the ground. I have enjoyed being snowed in, but I didn't have anywhere I needed or wanted to go. Bart and I have had a successful day of cleaning and working a bit on the nursery for the house to be presentable for company next weekend for our baby shower. I can't wait to see my family which we haven't seen since Christmas. I know that it will be an enjoyable weekend. O and my husband turns 28 this next week. For 2 months out of the year he is a year older than me!!!
